And she was acquited today.

She will walk out of the Florida Detention Center Thursday afternoon free. She has been in jail three years. At most she will get four years and time served for that. Now little Caylee with only become a dim memory for Casey who showed no emotion through this whole thing except when the prosecution introduced photos of her little body. Then only after her lawyers objected to it as it would bias the jury. Her parents sat stone faced while the verdict was read then, without a tear or a glance they left. Casey has nothing now. But don't fear for her. The book publishers are already beating a path to her door for her story, offering huge checks for the rights. Networks will soon follow hoping to make a TV movie of it. Her lawyers are already pressuring her to sue the state for False Arrest and Slander. I don't know she is guilty but from her mannerisms in the court room and the way she acted, well maybe. I know if my child was missing I would not lie to the police about it as I would want him home with me. I would not wait 31 days to report him gone. As to the evidence that was shown the jury? Well there was much much more that was not. Now, poor Caylee is again forgotten on the side of the road somewhere in the justice system. Her memory for the courts will be placed in a box on a shelf and left there. Even if new evidence is found or Casey comes out and said "Yes I did it and now I am free!" she can not be held accountable. She will profit from this and the memory of her child. Rest in peace Caylee, the system may have failed you today. We can not hold ourselves accountable to you this day.The evidence was there and strong enough to get into court but it was not enough. I am sorry Caylee.
